Disaster Area

I now know what it feels like to live in a small studio apartment in New York.  My master bedroom has become my office, library, dining room, bedroom, and TV room all rolled into one.  On the one hand, it’s made me appreciate all the SPACE in the rest of the house that much more, but on the other hand, it’s been kind of fun and challenging to see exactly HOW much stuff can be crammed into the bedroom.

More! More! More!

I came home a couple of days ago to discover the house a veritable disaster area with the dog penned up in the master bedroom.  Since his life was in danger I decided to take him to the grandparents house for his own safety.  My handyman had come over and started the process of busting out the tile in the kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway and back bedroom.  The house looked like someone had a white powder party – minus all the fun that might entail – and forgot to clean up before the cops got there.

In the end, I know it will be worth the slight inconvenience to be rid of the disgusting, haphazardly laid tiles and instead welcome beautiful Brazilian Koa laminate to our home.

Hubby and I are getting pretty good at it while we occupy the same 200 square feet.
